Upcoming Appointments Available
The prospect of setting up an appointment with a psychiatric provider can be intimidating. It is normal to feel anxious! Rest assured, our priority is to help you feel welcome and comfortable. Please reach out if we can answer additional questions prior to your appointment.
You will be electronically sent consent documents and a client history questionnaire, including questions about your physical and mental health. It is important that you complete and submit these documents prior to your appointment, so we are prepared to best care for you. If these documents are not filled out before your appointment, your appointment could be shortened to allow time to complete them. Should you have questions about any of the documents, please reach out for clarification.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will check in at the kiosk in the waiting area, so we know you have arrived. Your first appointment will last 55 minutes. Your provider will ask questions to gain a comprehensive understanding of your history and future goals. Together, we will create a treatment plan that could include education, psychiatric medications, and lifestyle modifications, You might be also be referred for therapy, a physical examination, or psychological testing.
This depends on your care plan, including the medications you might be prescribed and how well you are doing. We generally see individuals more frequently initially and then less often when they are doing well. We can determine together what an appropriate amount of time between appointments should be. You can expect your first follow-up visit to be about 2 to 6 weeks after your initial evaluation. Clients on controlled substances need to be seen at least every three months.
Your first visit will be scheduled for in-person. For follow-up appointments, you will have the choice to have your visit virtual or in-person. Should you choose to have your visit virtually, you must be in Tennessee to receive services.
At this time, we do not file any insurance claims, and we are considered out-of-network for all insurance companies. However, many insurance companies will still cover a portion of out-of-network psychiatric costs, and we are happy to provide you with the necessary paperwork.
You can check your coverage by calling your insurance provider and asking the following questions:
